I was reading the comments concerning Alc and Erykah Badu's new song having a visualizer that uses "AI slop", yet it dawned on me.... its saving Alc money and resources to seek out artists to create something that's in dire need at the very moment.

One thing about AI is that its efficient and you can just add the tweaks to it, to suit your vision. I remember when I was making beats ages ago, and tried to reach out on this Twitch streamer to help me with the cover art and I would pay her.

She spent the entire time capping and coming up with excuses to not want to make the art for me. So I had to do it myself. Present time, I made this with the help of AI and photo editing apps on my phone:

Free 99 and a lack of dealing with humans drawling. For all the hell AI gets, it truly helps in the midst of humans being sags of nut hair about working together.

Beyond the doom and gloom, has AI ever worked in your favor concerning business, music, etc?

I finished four months of work in about one day. I’ve just been chillin.

Of course I have domain knowledge and have been testing edge cases to make sure the codebase isn’t blowing anything up. Additionally have an integration testing system in place as well. Very familiar with the company’s codebase.

Been finishing an Electrical Engineering degree on the side and this thing has helped me really understand the material and gets a lot of tedious stuff done rather spending hours on it. Like writing lab reports with LaTeX is trivial.

Investing has been great using Deep Research to filter out and find good/bad news about companies, assessing moats, etc.

I lowkey want to start making a video game but not too familiar with the drawing-side of A.I yet. After I’m done with this BSEE maybe.

it teaches people not to trust opinions simply because they are voiced authoritatively. it makes you analyse what it says and sharpens your deductive skills.

this is good for the population at large.

and is an extension of the general lessons about veracity of information and quality of sources gained through mass use of the internet.

In some ways. I have it looking over minor coding related things (in the end) but I’m doing the bulk of the work myself for the things I do on the side

I’d reeeeeeeeeally want someone who is proficient at prompts to show me what legit use cases are

My actual work uses too many proprietary tools that haven’t — yet — been infiltrated with AI

Mostly with writing. And recently with cooking.

It helps me write more grounded stories. For instance, if I'm writing like a spy story and the guy gets shot, it helps me pace the next part of the story without the character coming off as a super hero.

Helps with writers block.

As for "AI slop," it's the internet reflexively being anti-establishment without any logic.

AI is going to even out the playing field on a lot of things people wouldn't have access to--aka, a writer having access to an editor or an art directio.

Artist were struggling to monotize and dealt with thief before AI.

People are playing like they respect art all of the sudden when most of us pay $10 a month for millions of songs from singers and rappers who definitely not getting paid right.

It legit makes learning fun and interactive.

I was on ChatGPT last night just going on and on and about pregnancy and childbirth.

I learn some new things and it put shyt into context for me.

Yes, people will mindlessly use it. Some ppl won't.

It's a great tool.
