Yeah. But these are usually mid to late rd dudes who say fukk it after a season or 2. They'll have a degree from college and just go work a regular job...

nah avgerage career is 3 years because after 3 years why pay the average nfl player more money than you can a rookie or undrafted rookie right out of college?

example 2014 nfl min salary for a rookie is 435k,, a dude with 3 year service its 730k
if your just some 4th string rb that plays special team, or some lb that just plays special teams the majority of teams will pay a rookie 435 to get the same output for the most part

most of these players are absolutely replaceable with no dropoff
its like replacing the 12th man on the nba bench
why i would pay some 6 year vet scrub like 1 mill where i can pay some undrafted rookie 473k
