his classics from the past few years are unlistenable. yet the way he was hyped just shows you the corruption of the industry. its like when liberals and the media were clamouring for war with Iraq back in the day and now they all look stupid. anyone that was on the wayne train just look discredited now as a rap expert.

i wonder if some of these white fans and critics were laughing at him and not with him.

Nah. 50 Cent.

I was banging old weezy last night and he used to be super dope.

Gossip, Trouble, and all those tracks are still classic. All those mixtapes: classic.

Lets not rewrite history bc he regressed.

Dude was average at his peak. The product of hype. Now he's an incoherent, drug addled buffoon.

Old cashmoney 1997-2001 ish actually aged better than all of the recent shyt (young money) except for Drake who I'm not much of a fan of to begin with.

Out of that whole roster is begrudgingly believe that his music will remain relevant.

IMO most of the No Limit and Cash Money stuff from the late 90's sounds super dated....doesn't mean I don't bump that shyt on the regular.

Negative...Wayne from like '02-'07 is prolly a top 5 or so favorite era from any rapper to me...one of the better combinations of quantity and quality imo...I can randomly listen to something like this today and prolly appreaciate the dopeness more than when it dropped

With acts like Meek Mill and 2Chainz (essentially a poor man's Drought 3 era Wayne) being the hottest "new" acts currently, if vintage wayne were to come out today with the same material the game would still be like :krs:

Nah, from Carter 1 to Carter 3 bootleg era I still can bump alot of that shyt. Old CMR like 98-00 still sounds good to me too.

50 Cent/G-unit era shyt is the hardest to listen to IMO, that whole Shady Aftermath sound was gimmicky except for The Documentary and Straight Outta Cashville.

Wayne always been below average to me.

I only have John & Rollin by him on my phone.

I will say that the Carter 1 is still listenable too though. It's sounds more like Wayne and less like corporations
