More like the advent of digital instruments/beat makers and the decline of music classes in schools, but go off
at some point, there's gonna be a need to address symptoms in dire issues like this, I'm with you, a lack of creative outlets is a net negative for our kids, lack of church attendance too

Theres a thread on here bout early 90s rap looking absolutely ridiculous. This is probably what Common was talking bout. The song aged better than most music out of that era

It didn't age badly it just became more relatable the more time passed because the industry is even more commercialized.
That Song came out during what was arguably the golden era of rap music. I don't know what he was complaining about :yeshrug: this was just non-la brehs salty that death row was running shyt at the time.

:francis: "Aged" as far as how the topic was rapped about, sure....but the message was still there. I always hated the cliche' of hip hop being this woman and rappers trying to spit about her issues and etc. I think the only one I really enjoyed was Cormega's take on it:



Sure he was dissing Nauwsz on the track, but it didn't come off corny and bland like "I Used to Love Her".
