Has anybody here ever lied on their resume and still got the job?

I’ve lied on pretty much every resume I’ve done or any application I filled out. It’s pretty standard imo, but when you get the interview you gotta know some basics.

I don’t care what I have to say or lie about to get a job honestly. I figure I’m not dumb and they are going to train me anyway, fukk it :yeshrug:

And if you call me for an interview while I’m at work I’m going to put on a show. My current job called me while I was working my former job. I was in the parking lot, on break, sitting in my car.

I answered the phone and realized it was a job calling. I got out the car. I cut her off half way and told her I needed a second. I started pretending I was telling people what to do. I’m just standing in a parking lot giving out orders and telling nobody I’m going to step away for a break.

@Sir Richard Spirit what career/job do you currently have?

I work as an associate for Institutional Advancement at a museum. I was hired as a exhibit contractor with no experience and became a Volunteer Center Coordinator assistance no experience.

I 100% am going to direct this department when the Jews retire. This is with no degree and almost no experience in anything relevant to museums.

How did you get it without a degree or experience? Is the pay good?

My wife friend worked at the museum in housekeeping. She told me they were looking for someone to work on a contract to help build exhibits. I LIED about everything. I knew how to use a tape measure, but that was about it.

When my contract was expiring I was trying to get hired in house, but I had no interest in building shyt. I knew some people in guest relations and asked them about openings. They told me about the Volunteer Center Coordinator assistant spot. It wasn’t hard to get because I was friendly with them already.

When Covid hit there was no reason to have a Visitor Center. It was either unemployment or security or Institutional Advancement. I took a a job in Institutional Advancement. It was even easier because most people wanted unemployment.

I haven’t looked back since :yeshrug:
