Has anybody on here successfully rose from the abyss and fixed their credit?

I been thru that. Had over 15k in credit card debt about five years ago. I think I had upwards of 8 or 9 credit cards. I got in way over my head and the interest was ridiculous. I was naive back then. Started messing with some debt settlement agencies and then just snowballed the rest. Today I just got 3 credit cards. A best buy one that's at zero and two others I rotate in use for points and to build credit. Plus my car payments also help. Been a little over a year since I purchased it. I'm near the high 600s now. I know I was in the high 400s back then. I still throw straight to the trash the pre approved credit offers from the mail. fukk them con artists, don't need more temptations.

Start with whatever u can. Shell gas card. Macy's charge card any thing that builds positive credit. Pay off old debt and sit back and watch ya shyt go.

I went from 505 to 690 in the last couple years. Went from cards with $300 to shyt with over $10k. Everything that u can qualify for on credit get it and pay it off. The negative shyt just takes time to go away

What about payday loans that you skipped out on?

I tried to get a report from the three bueraus but one of them said they were unable to give me the report.

Is there a place I can go to where I pay them money and they fix all my credit for me? That has to exist.

What does having a "real" job have to do with credit......

this is kind of depressing, it sounds like it takes 6 or 7 years to get something descent score rise, i thought maybe by the end of the year I would be straight.

You can do it in 2-4 Years....but it does take work...

Get a secured credit card, spend money on it and pay it off monthly.

Still looking at 7 years going with only this route. Now combine this with making agreements to pay off what you already owe and you'll be good in 3-4 years

My credit was shyt. And I mean shyt. No company was gonna give me credit until I prepaid. This was in 09. I prepaid $100 for a $350 credit card

But I had no choice so I took it. I used it to rebuild my credit. Now I have 3 credit cards in my name. 2 that are 5gs and 1 that is 10g .. I barely use these cards but whenever I do, they are paid for by their due dates.

My credit right now is above 650. I know that's not enough but I started from nothing. It took a while. You have to repay all your debts. I worked my ass off and paid everything I owed. I didn't care for the good life, I wanted my future to be straight. Right now all my cards have $0 balance. If you gonna rebuild your credit, you have to live on a budget. Gotta squeeze every penny and repay every single debt you owe. That's the first place to start.

Now I got emails/letters from companies asking me to get a loan from them. These are the same companies that denied me when I needed credit. Now I don't need credit. I just use it to get my credit higher.

Just wanna add, never had to declare bankruptcy or told companies I can't pay them back. I worked hard and used every single penny to repay my debts.
