Has anybody tried to put on their city more than Kanye over the last decade?

No :troll:
Twista-brought back to the masses
Lupe-first time in the mainstream
Common- career resurrection
Bump J- multiple songs before he got locked up/shouted him out after
Chief Keef-blew up his song, then made him the only rap feature on his most recent cd

Am I missing someone....or did ye really bring his hood with him?:yeshrug:

Well...I guess. Only that Chicago hasn't had THAT much talent to come on the national scene.

But you're ignoring all that Atlanta artists do for each other.

No one touches the loyalty of southern artists towards one another.

ye did try to put GLC and really doe on, but i just dont think the rest of the country was feelin them like that. He also had a joint with Kid Sister but she was kind of a half-a-hit wonder.

But Bump J definitely should've blown up . He was basically to Kanye what Snoop was to Dr Dre except Ye wasn't really a household name back then like he is now. But regardless, dude had his songs on video games and even a McDonalds commercial back in the summer of 2005 featured his song. He had mad potential but I think there was some B/S between his indie label and Atlantic which prevented him from progressing. And Not to mention the bank robbery which really set dude back.:smh:

Mikkey Halsted is another artist ye tried to put on but that was wayyyy before he became famous. He ended up getting fukked over at Cash Money though. But thats a whole nother story for another day.

Nah Kanye put on more fags than he did nikkas and that's a natural fact! But to answer your question mister threadstarter I would say that Khaled has did more to put on his city. He helped elevate Ross to that next level and he throws that fakkit Ace Hood on songs that should go to someone that can actually rap.
