Has anyone ever confessed to a priest about things they've done?

Well I was watching this show about China and the fortune teller told him he would die of a heart problem soon, unless he wrote 3 confessions on paper..one confession got burned in the fire..another confession had to be put on the mountain..so he buried it by the Great Wall of China..and another confession had to be thrown in the sea..which he did....now I know that in order for me to have a better life..I need to seek a fortune teller or priest and confess stuff or do some type of ritual...has anyone gone thru with this and how did ya life workout afterwards?

I try to live open and morally well enough that I don't have to confess. I'd rather just do something good to help someone else. Or burn a candle.

i kept it real vague when i used to go to confession. it's probably for the best tho, otherwise shyt would quickly get awkward
