Has anyone ever gotten a job after being interviewed by a white male?

Just curious. I went in a interview yesterday, just for a part time job for the holidays at a major retail store. I have the experience from working in retail before, a bachelors in business and it appeared that the interview went well. I mean shyt, it was to work the perfume counter. It ain't rocket science.
This isn't the first time that I was qualified for a low skill job and was interviewed buy a white guy and didn't get it. It happened in college over and over also. One was to sell some amway type products and the other was to work in a call center. They acted like I was intervening for Goldman Sachs or something.
It's like I knew as soon as he walked out I knew that I wasn't gonna get this weak ass job.
I've been interviewed by black women, black men, white women, Asian men, etc. and I've gotten the jobs and done well. It just seems like with white men, they never hire me.
I'm not really upset because I have a good full time job, I just wanted this to work on the weekends and earn a little extra money.
This is becoming a trend with me and I'm just curious if anyone else has had this happen?

Yeah, but they've all been low wage ones.

I've never gotten a "serious" job after being interviewed by a white guy. I got a couple from white women, one from another brother, and one from a Mexican.

Let's not discount attraction in hiring the opposite sex. Yeah, yeah ethics ... etc., etc. but I'm talking real life. OP is a female ... I know they love certain types of black women and will bend over for them - pause .

From what I've seen skinny and dark for them is like thick and .... (better watch what I say around the sensitive on this board ... thecoli.com ya'll) for a lot of black males. Do you fit the profile?

judging by your credentials, they'll probably not hire you bc you seem over qualified. Same thing that happened to me when I tried to get a seasonal job at macys.
But out of my 3 jobs I ever had, 2 of them were white males and one was a black woman. From my internships, one was a white woman, the other a black man. I guess it just depends.

White people are intrigued by me for some reason. I think they expect one thing when they see me and then get hit with the okie doke. I dont go into interviews being fake, just cordial

Yes, my current employer hired me after a 3 person panel interview and they were all white american men doing the interviewing.

Partially true, on 1st appearance and body language they dont think so but after talking to me and they are "shocked" I dont have some "white voice" fake voice I put on I got a southern drawl black mans voice and I've never had a problem getting hired or people just asking if I was looking for work when hanging out.





I'm a very good listener when it comes to conversations.


Best way to get into a job is by saying the least while getting the most out of the convo
