Joseph Smith didn't listen to men. He refused to listen to anyone except to God and his angels. This is what started Mormonism in the first place...
So we, who believe what he believed, do not listen to him, nor do we listen to Brigham Young, his sons, or any other prophet of Mormonism or any other faith. Or anyone at all.
If God or the angels would like something of me, they know where I am.
They can tell me themselves.
And much of what Joseph Smith wrote down was nonsense. He was trying his best not to get hung most of the time.

You seem unable to differentiate between a person speaking on their own accord and a person purporting to speak for god.

If you begin to declare that you are speaking for god, I'd ignore you as a charlton or a perpetrator or a fool.
