South Africa is very different from the rest of Africa in many respects. The big cities are comparable to other cities in the first world. Cape Town is more like European city (including weather) while Johannesburg and Durban are unique in their own way with very good weather. Anyway, what do you want to know specifically?

South Africa is a good place to got to. We have first world stuff and you can go on safari. Just watch yourself if you go to townships, only do it during the day with someone who knows the place.
