I’ve been getting the travel bug now that lockdown is coming to an end and I want to travel to the Middle East.
Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Israel etc. Try the food, culture, historic sites etc. Anyone been there and would you recommend it?

Been to Dubai and SA...

I don't recommend either places if you don't know anybody, these are tough cities to get around as a foreigner due to restrictions...

Both were business trips so there wasn't much site seeing and non-Muslims are forbidden from entering the historic sites in SA so that was never happening for me...

The food and lodging was exceptional in both places...

As far as people and culture, SA is very strict and I don't recommend it to anyone who is a habitual line stepping ignorant mothafukka...
Dubai is more chill but I did get stopped in a park for jogging while black...:francis:

Foreigners still got heavy restrictions though, especially Americans...

Ain't nobody traveling half way around the world to watch a movie...

I couldn't imagine getting around Riyahd without my business associate...Every spot he drove me to dude literally had to vouch for me...Some of these were public places to like a park where he told me several times, if someone uses a specific greeting term I had to respond back in a specific way or that could be trouble...

My last trip was back in 09 so maybe things changed but I doubt that much...

Thanks for the tip. I think I’ll cross Saudi Arabia off my list.

Only place I've been is Israel :snoop: Jerusalem is a must-see, if you can put politics, racism and massive human rights violations by the colonizers aside .
Would like to go to Lebanon, would have to go with this Lebanese friend of mine.Turkey and Iran too, if you consider those the ME.
Heard  is nice.

Go to UAE and maybe Qatar... The rest of the Middle East is shyt. Also, go in winter when the weather is glorious. In summer you might die of the heat (no exaggeration)

That said, I've been to Tehran, Iran once and was pleasantly surprised. The city is really naturally beautiful.. close to the mountains.. and the women are closet freaks..
:shaq:

Problem is, anything fun is banned under the strict Islamic sharia they follow there in Iran. You can get anything you want underground but I don't think it's worth the risk.
