how you making money now, i only have one BS channel for beats and one of my crew has YT channel for all of us at events. this channel actually makes money not much, split between four. i dont know the mechanics but i am ready to branch out on my own soon.

question is why dont you have one, you are clearly tech and online savy. i hear through the grapevine that YT all dot coms all these free applications for hosting will be shut down and screened while charging you for the application. it is to deter people setting up independently as well as those infamous "sleeper cell" sites.

internet is the wild west right now, and the new sheriffs are fitting to shut it all down. my advice to you fellow bandits set aside 500/1000.00 and eat for the rest of your life. our parents didnt have such gracefull commerce opportunities and its about to close.

+ get a YT channel and let your content be redirected to your website, with e-commerce options. those who havent set any of this up yet, do so and have it as a safe keep until you have content.

checking the fine homes thread, what other online hub generates money for content uploaders ? not social media because too many scams in that and people dont part direct with cash on there.

:lupe:

How to make money on youtube
  1. Become a YouTube Partner and make money from ads.
  2. Make money on YouTube by selling products or merchandise.
  3. License your content to the media.
  4. Work with brands as an influencer or affiliate.

as of october 2018 :

If it's a CPC advertisement, then you get paid based on how many viewers click on the ads surrounding your video. Per view, advertisers on average pay $.18. If your channel receives 1,000 views, it's worth $18. Google keeps 45 percent of what is made, so a YouTuber would make (on average) $9.90 per 1,000 views.

On Average the YouTube channel can receive $18 per 1,000 ad views. This equates to $3 - $5 per 1000 video views. as of 2019.
  1. Sign in to your YouTube account.
  2. Select your account icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click Creator Studio.
  4. In the left menu, select Channel > Status and features.
  5. Click Enable in the Monetization section.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to accept YouTube's Terms.
and finally the golden question has an answer :

According to the YouTube Partner Program requirements, you need at least 1,000 subscribers to be eligible to monetize your account through their program. However, there are a lot of factors that contribute to receiving a substantial payout from AdSense.

Yes, Youtube pay money on a monthly basis and mostly it is in the 21st of the month. Once you have earned a hundred dollars, YouTube will start paying you on a monthly basis. Advertisers only pay when someone clicks an ad or watches for 30 seconds. This is why you can't tie your channel views to dollars

Why is every YouTube video 10 minutes?

The problem is that YouTubers have realised that they can make more money if their videos are over ten minutes, so they're making all their videos over ten minutes (or even just exactly ten minutes)

Does rewatching a YouTube video count as a view?

Yes, but if you view a video to often with the same IP address YouTube will catch on to it and put a block on the videos. ... It counts as two, or more views if the user requests the video more. As stated in other questions/answers, YouTube's definition of a view is a legitimate (non-robot) video REQUEST

How much of a YouTube video counts as a view?

What counts as a view on Instagram? Instagram's video view metrics are probably the most straightforward of them all. The company lays it out clearly, “A video's view count doesn't include video loops, and a view is counted when a video is watched for 3 seconds or more.”

I have one but only have 900 subs. I'm gonna rename it and start doing interviews of people. Gonna parlay that into selling courses.

Nah, but I know a lot of people in a couple of industries who are great teachers. I plan on leveraging their talents, while I focus on the production and marketing

I have one but its mostly transit videos, that I filmed when I was still in HS, I rarely if ever upload anymore. My most popular video has like 20,000 views

The transit enthusiast market for NYC is over saturated on youtube, unless you catch rare stuff or exclusives you're not gonna get many views due so many buffs having channels.

I tried uploading bird videos but they flopped :mjcry:

I probably would try and rebrand my channel if I knew how to edit videos and had an real camera rather than upload short clips from a phone.

thats big, i dont know how to code the videos but they probably arent being seen in the search.

i heard something called meta tags, you need a logo and a gimmick and take it to the streets and maybe weekly shows. id watch because "familarity = fondness" thats how lord jamar is messing up a bit. he keeps changing the format.

+edit is simple with windowsmoviemaker, why dont you find someone you can rent the camera from for your episodes until you get your own.

+get an insta linked to your YT channel, and tag mike tyson lol and other nature lovers.
