Started watching this shyt and I had to stop watching it ten minutes in. Full of meek black men as waiters serving whites and of course knowing their place. i know its set in the fifties blah blah blah but I'm not gonna watch a show where supposedly black people knew their place. No wonder this show is so popular. 
Those of you who've seen the show in its entirety, does this theme run throughout? I don't mind watching a good show but I don't want to see black characters playing subservient roles.
