Never used it but it's legit. Sellers won't screw you over because their rep is everything on the site.

Used it all through Europe. Great experience, all deposits refunded within days after checkout. Met all owners directly.

It's become my first choice before looking at an actual hotel.

I used it in SF a few times. Always awesome prices, and the places I stayed were really nice. Was going to use it last year in NOLA, but ended up finding a really good hotel deal.

So you pay a deposit then the whole payment? Or all at once?

Sorry breh, I thought you were asking about using Airbnb to stay somewhere, which I've done.

Did you mean using it to put your place up? If so I have not done that yet, working on it right now. They are going to send a freelance person over to take professional pics of the condo (free). Then I will post the ad. Going to set my deposit high, just to be safe (or I'll have to hide my PS4/XB1 and all other eletronic shyt )

Yeah basically everything is taken up front. So you have to budget for the room rate/cleaning fees + the security deposit. So that entire amount will be held on your credit card.

After you checkout and all is well, the person will release the security deposit and only the room rate charges will be applied to your card. Make note of everything though, that's what I did just to be sure. Had no issues with any of them. They all had high ratings though.
