Reds favor individual accomplishments and responsibility whereas blues think society should take more care of the less privileged and the burden of responsibility is on society rather than the individual. At the end of the day, neither party gives a shyt and its all about power and politics for them. They are one in the same so saying things are gonna get worse under Republicans is silly.

The poor, like all others, vote for their personal interests. They have this illusion that Democrats are seriously looking out for their interests. They have an illusion that Republicans don't care whatsoever about them and that they only help the rich. Its really not the case. Both parties favor the rich but one of the parties has done a great PR job to lie to the disenfranchised. Neither party is truly good for the average person. If the libertarian/green party people weren't so wacky, they would have the best platform for average people.

Thats a very valid point that also points out how similar both parties really are. The philosophical differences that once guided the parties are more intertwined now than ever. I hate to give the tinfoil crowd any props but they're mostly right about this country being a one-party system represented by two colors to give the illusion of choice.
