I'm still in shock over how they basically dared Lebron to hit a 15 foot jumpshot. For all intents and purposes, Pop treated Lebron like Rajon Rondo or Ronnie Brewer?

Is that what it's going to come down to the rest of this series? Lebron's ability to make a 15 footer.

I'm not critiquing or complaining about the game plan, I'm just in shock that it's working. It might be completely out of necessity, but how many times have you seen a coach give a player open shot after open shot as a game plan? And this was an aspect of Lebron's game that he supposedly had improved on greatly.

it was VERY disrespectful :snoop:

it was flat out embarrassing how they did that dude. turned him into a self check.

the best player in the league was disrespected into a self check :wow: If this guy loses this series this will be worst than the loss against the Mavs. That's how disrespectful they were to Lebron last night.

This is what people mean when they say Lebron isn't a scorer. Or the Best Scorer in the League. You will NEVER see Kobe, Melo, or Durant disrespected as a basketball player like that by a team. Those type of guys will go for :damn: near 50pts a game if you play them like that. Based Pop does not respect Lebron James basketball game...point blank.

This is why I say dude isn't a Real basketball player. Instead he is an NFL TE with handles and a solid jumpshot. He's playing the wrong sport.

If he is mentally weak, the more he thinks about the open looks the worse its going to get.

This is it, LeBron has all the skills needed to dominate offensively. True, he is not the greatest jump shooter but he, like most pros, can knock down 15 foot open jumpers in his sleep. The fact that San An is telling him he cant shoot is making his mentally weak self, question whether he can shoot or not. This is why he plays guard, so 6'3" or 6'4" people can check him and he can look/pass/shoot right over them. This is why he doesnt get in the dunk contest but will pregame dunk all year because its no competition. He wont go in the post/defend the post because its too much work and he cant get out in transition. He needs to be slapped up and told his legacy is taking a hit due to Kawhi and Green NOT defending him. He is putting his team in jeopardy because his confidence in his teammates is greater than the confidence he has in himself.

:ohlawd: pure Ether...

Great post, this is what I meant earlier in the year when I said. Lebron depends/needs his 3pt shooters more than they need him. His game will suffer tremendously if he can't pass to shooters to allow him to Dunk/Layup/Drive&Kick

I don't think it's disrespectful it's really Pop's only choice. He has to live with the percentage of that shot over him driving right by whoever is guarding him and getting a layup or somebody else a wide open three.

Evidently the Spurs don't have no respect for any shooters in our team, period. They are not going to fall for the decoy that Miami has been running all season long. The drive in and kick out was ineffective since the second round. The Spurs refused to give up the lane. I already had called this out after I watched game 1 while Bosh was shooting long range shot and nobody, I mean not one defender, rotate to Bosh. Spurs are going to continue guard the lane diligently without giving a fukk if a shooter like Mike Miller go lights out in three-point.

Since game 1, I believe Lebron has been playing his best. It just that the Spurs are making him work hard for his points.
