Has Kanye Even Acknowledged That Kendrick Exists Yet?

He seems to have been going out of his way to ignore a guy that everyone in hip hop is raving about...

And the only reason it's notable is because he has always been a hypebeast to who ever the flavor of the month is in the culture..

He did it with Wayne, Ross, T.I., Paul Wall, Jeezy and almost every other notable emcee that has come out since CD...He jumped on the Raekwon renaissance..He called Eminem a genius for Relapse lmao...

This is a guy that put T-Pain on his album, cosigned 2-Chains and Chief Keef after they blew up on their own.. Brought Soulja Boy to MTV and compared him to Nas, said that Tyler The Creator had the best video of the year etc...etc..

But now he seems to be quiet about the cultures newest darling...Does anyone feel that he might be threatened? Or did I miss something?

True but K.R.I.T. has always been under the radar...Kendrick is THAT n1gga right now...It's would like Rakim and Kool G. Rap ignoring Nas after in the months after Illmatic..

Maybe he doesn't want to gas up artists that are too close to his lane because it will make him less relevant...Like how Howard Stern hates every popular young shock jock that came out after him...

He said in an interview that sometimes he sits at home and watches videos and ges jealous that he didn't come up with an idea for a beat or concept first..GKMC might have affected him, because it came out around the same time as Cruel Summer (which was quickly forgotten) and he's so used to being the critical darling..

I think Kanye is threatened. Kendrick has that "College Dropout" appeal.

Kendrick married the two worlds that Kanye had with his first album. The "In touch with the hood" appeal for the black listeners and the "creative and wittiness" for the college crowd.

All Kanye raps about is designer clothes so Kendrick really fills that void. That was why I fukked with Kanye (first 3 albums) after that I stopped paying attention to him.

Kendrick debo'd Kanye's original fan base.
