Has MF Doom ever rapped about politics or even reality before?

I was listening to Operation Doomsday, it's a dope album, his music is dope. But he tells stories and goes off on tangents that I'm always caught in following the story and I don't even notice whether he talks about social issues or not

I finally took time out to hear his albums Madvillainy and OPDoomsday for the first time this year. Dude is good. Production is good too
