Has Microsoft pretty much abandoned the Xbox 360?

Looking at the release list there aren't any more internal high profile games on it at all. Sony has arguably two of their most anticipated games this console cycle still lined up that we know of before E3.

i'm gonna feel like silly for paying through the roof for that Halo 4 Limited Edition Xbox 360 bundle back in November 2012 if they straight up abandon this console like it never existed like Nintendo did the Wii at the end of its life.

hopefully E3 has more in store than just stuff for the new Xbox. i was hoping for a while they'd ride with both like Sony usually does.

Yeah I would think they've been focusing on the new xbox for over a year now which is why we haven't seen anything for real. Either way, xboxes are cheap enough to take a chance on without getting a special edition. There are still plenty of older games to play, just don't expect much new stuff.

8 year console lifespan just released 3-5 exclusives within the last month yet it's been abandoned . Hell I hope they push shyt like state of decay and max to the next xbox. the console will ride out to the death like every other console once a successor comes, instead it may last longer with a 99$ 360 and 3rd parties.

edit: why the hell would u pay for a special edition 8 years into it's lifespan unless u never owned a 360 , that's a worse purchase then buying a wii-u

MS is rumored to be dropping a cheap version of 360 when the 720 comes out codenamed "Stingray", and seeing how 360 is still selling well in the US, I doubt they're just gonna abandon ship when the next gen arrives.

hey that's your money not mines, that's like buying a ps2 in 2006 just for GOW2 .I'll probably cop the cheap 360 later down the line though

I am a little concerned because sony did this last gen. And in doing so, the ps3 suffered for its first 2yrs. Will the same thing happen this go round? I wouldn't assume that but I got to admit Gran Turismo 6 being a ps3 game scares me
