I'll be the first to say I'm :flabbynsick: when it comes to today's music climate but I've noticed in recent years rappers haven't been doing remixes to there songs, I remember back in the early 2000's when a rapper released a song about a month later there would be a remix to capitalize off the popularity of the song.

Remember the early 2010's when a rapper would rap over the instrumental of a hot song and they would always call it a remix to that hot song instead of just calling it a freestyle?

Nah those are "Freestyles"

I know they were freestyles but they were labeling them as a Remix.

Thats me co signing what you said about the art of the remix dying because they weren't calling them freestyles they were calling freestyles remixes in the 2010's. The song wouldn't even have the original rapper on it but they were calling it a remix. Like these:

Remixes used to be changing the whole beat and adding various rappers. I really don’t even know what they are now. Probably cause the current gen can barely make original tracks in the first place.
Current generation can barley make a 2 min song, their remix and extended editions is adding a feature or looping the chorus to get it to 2mins 54 secs :dead:

Remix been dead for like 15+ years. It died when remix just mean adding a feature to the original song.

The 90’s remixes with whole new beats, lyrics, and/or features >>> *
I even liked some remixes that was the same lyrics but recorded to match the flow. Its just that with all the tech we have right now alot of producers are lazy and trying to eat so we get the half assed bs remakes we get today.

Radio freestyles are dead because Radio itself is dead.
