At least women who go into the teaching profession? seems that way by the way the media are constantly reporting stories.Do we need to start examining the motives of women going into the teaching profession more closely? do we need to start punishing them as harshly as men in the courts? Are we just getting some really stupid women becoming teachers in america who don't understand the concequences of their actions? because even if they don't go to prison, they will lose their job,probably never teach again and probably any marriage as well...
Is it so hard for these women to simply go to a nightclub and pick up some 18 yr old ? 18 yr olds aren't fussy, why pick on their students? why shyt on your own doorstep? That is what is a bit sinister about all this.
Back in the seventies and eighties in the UK, labour run councils (basically a left wing socialist party back then) , encouraged homosexuals to be members of staff on childrens homes, naively (at best,) not realising such recruitment practices encouraged paedophiles to apply. There was an explosion of abuse cases in these homes. Which has been swept under the carpet and the british media despite bashing the catholic church all the time for instance, will try to ignore this scandal, that is another topic, but the overall point is, perhaps the recruitment practices in US schools generally, need to be tightened up,because it seems to me your are getting a lot of either extremely immature and dumb women who don't know how to ignore the attentions of randy boys full of testosterone becoming teachers or perhaps more sinister predatory types.
