He doesn't shy away from expressing emotion and even rationalizes his poor decision-making in ways that many find appealing.

In short, he ticks many boxes for his audience. The fact that much of his work centers on promoting Black death isn't necessarily a deal-breaker for most people.

He's basically a Pookie in his generation that was given little and made a lot out of it. He's basically a gangster verison of Bad Bunny with a lot more bad decisions made but a lot more stress at a young age too

Not saying he don’t have fans out here, but people in Cali show durk more love. Like 5 years ago I remember yb music being played exclusively by transients so I’ll always associate his music w them and people w that mentality and there’s a lot of those in the US so I’m not surprised he’s popular among that demographic.
