Daniel, Sami, Tyson, and now Ryback are recent injuries that come to mind. I'm seeing WWE live Saturday which results into a PPV for them the next day and then Raw after Battleground. Not only do these wrestlers have a heavy schedule of wrestling, they do side shyt such as movies for wwe studios, shows for the network, interviews with local radio stations or any local promotion for a live event, on top of that they have to stay in shape, meet fans in make a wish programs etc, and so much other shyt...

These guys are slaves man....

Back in the day, the actual wrestling frequency was worse. Flair would always talked about hour broadways every night.

Difference was, that wrestling was much more toned down athletically compared to today, so it probably didn't take the same toll. Also, dunno if they had the same pressure in terms of media appearances etc..

... on the other hand, they partied way harder back then. Nowadays they probably get an actual night's sleep.

Hard to compare.

Nowadays they aren't coked up 24/7 so these young'ens actually need the sleep, lol.

I'm sure nowadays the schedule is a bit tougher. Like 2 weeks ago they were in Tokyo, and they had to take a flight the next day for a live event... Then do RAW the next day...

Nowadays they wrestle 2 or 3 house shows on the week and then do RAW and Smackdown whereas in the 80s and 90s, I think they wrestled damn near everyday.

The difference now though is that they have international shows and reach a lot more markets in the U.S. too. Ironically the schedule during the brand split era was probably the best schedule for wrestlers since they only worked four days a week.

Just look at the schedule this weekend and next. They got these dudes wrestling in Newark on Friday and then some of these guys have to fly out to Illinois on PPV weekend. http://www.wwe.com/events.

They signed the contract, they agreed to being slaves. Work somewhere else if they got a problem with it like Lesnar did.
