Has Your Opinion on Cody changed since coming back to WWE???

Do you feel differently about Cody now that you did in March 2022? It's okay brehs, this is a SAFE ZONE. You won't be judged here. You might still call him CAWDy. Speak your truth. I really liked Cody initially in AEW, I thought he was doing a good job with his angles and he was bringing some old time southern wrasslin into AEW which I felt they needed.

But I'll be honest. I got sick of him. I got sick of him and Brandi, their stories were starting to bore the shyt out of me. Some nicknamed it the "Codyverse". I think it was example of a wrestler having maybe too much creative control with his character. He cut one of the worst promos in AEW history, you know the one.

But since coming to WWE? His character isn't too much different on the surface but it's grown up, it's developed more.. he's become everything you could possibly want in a main event babyface. He's dialed it back a bit on the heavy handed shyt too, it's still there but not as over-the-top. Everything he's doing is clicking. I'm looking forward to him and Jey Uso as a team right now, they were killin it at the press conference last night.

My only thing is that Cody with his Blonde Hair looks like a dead ringer for Geese Howard.

With his promo skills, I think he more suited to being a bad guy.

Maybe he will once Roman goes on break/semi-retirement.

hes essentially the same its just less cheesy seeming because hes in a company where his act doesnt stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the programming, it also helps that he doesnt have creative control to book his own stories and brandi isnt a factor so he's been reeled in while emphasizing the characters strengths and minimizing the weak parts that made him stale in aew

also he can actually compete for a world title in wwe so the goal of "finishing that story" helps whereas in aew he crippled himself early by not being able to which resulted in him trying to overcompensate with his feuds and matches which backfired

I always liked him in the ring dating back to his first run in WWE. Nothing has ever changed about that. Character wise I haven't ever really cared for him, but I don't remember much of him as a heel. I've never really liked these white meat baby faces WWE likes to trot out because it appeals to little kids.

he got a bit carried away in aew and should've turned heel since it just became sad to see him fighting a losing battle with the crowd. funny enough he probably would've been cheered had he turned lol

good thing hes still hasnt lost momentum since im fully on board that he should've beat roman back at wm. roman being gone since summerslam killed the momentum his reign had and both summer storylines (cody/brock and the bloodline imploding) made more sense if cody won.

I really don't understand how he can be this over. It feels like he has no pizzazz. Feels like he's reading a script and badly. He could be replaced with anyone else and the show wouldn't skip a beat.
