I know, I gotta go back in two weeks to do the rest and get my permanent crown. But for the time I was in there (About 4-4.5 hours) and the time the actual procedure took (About 90ish minutes to flush out the tooth, clean the nerve and get the temp crown, not counting the x-rays taken and getting re-fitted for the crown because the material wouldn't hold the first two times), shyt was just bad all around.
Be glad you live in a time where modern dentistry is available

Imagine living 900 years ago and having that happen. You'd either have to have someone who didn't really know what they were doing try to pull the tooth (with no anesthesia, other than maybe a few shots of liquor if you were rich) or just sit around in pain until the tooth got infected and killed you.
