From day 1 the colonizers had a plan to take all of the land from those people. First contact from Europeans back in the 1400s and early 1500s with guys like De Luna, DeSoto, Narvaez, and De Vaca and their company were missions from the Roman Catholic Church and Spain to find gold and wealth, to destroy native poplulations, and ultimately take over new lands.
To this day the same mindset is present. Giving unpayable loans to countries, so that they can later use it to take resources and land away from the people of those areas.
Have we really sat back and looked at the type of people that run these companies we have worked for?
Are we really aware of who we are helping to build an empire.
It's not political because both sides are paid by the same people to keep the system going.
