It sounds good but the "solutions" always put the biggest burden on the mother, imo. You're expecting the mother to get on point emotionally while she's still taking on the roles of both mom and dad. Where in the solution are black men asked to step up and be the fathers their children need them to be? I always hear "Well you knew how he was" Or "He's a bum what do you expect?", why can't we say it's NOT ok to be a bum, YOU will be rejected from society.

All I expect from the mother is being open to good black men so they can be role models to her son. Promote them as much as you promoted men of other races who like black women

The solution for black men who dont take responsibility for their children is for us to go hard on them and also for women guide other younger women so they don't make the mistake of going with those type of men because when they give them a chance we are unable to change them.

Good article. A lot of these black feminists use arguments from the BWE (Black Women Empowerment) Movement that started in the late 2000s that was heavily anti-black men to encourage black women to start dating out. I seriously never thought it...combined with feminism (1st wave, 2nd wave, critical, whatever) would spurn into what it is currently on social media. But it heavily preys on black women's self esteem issues and insecurities...so I can I can see why it appeals to many black women.
