People say it's been the worst year for rap, ever. Still, I liked quite a few albums.

loose list of my possible top 10-15:

1. Pinata
2. RTJ2
3. Mega-Philosophy
4. Lord Steppington
5. OC & Ray West - Ray's Cafe
6. Diamond D - The Diam Piece
7. Diamond District - March On Washington
8. Ras Kass/Apollo Brown
9. 1978ers
10. Dilated Peoples
11. Homeboy Sandman
12. Black Milk - If There's a Hell Below
13. Meyhem Lauren & Buckwild
14. possibly the new Wu (still digesting it)
15. NehruvianDOOM
16. DJ Quik

I also rocked with ScHoolboy Q & Ab Soul but I'm staunchly against allowing young people onto my rap lists.

and Ka 1200 BC is as good as anything this year but it's only 12 minutes long.

Your Old Droog is actually one of the best of the year but I can't teach myself to truly give non physical releases a fair nod

This reminds me... what happened to that guy who would always do a yearly "rap up" of every major event? It was like a tradition, then I stopped hearing about him... does he still do that anymore? Did they just get worse over time? What was his name?
