To me if you moved to Texas to be serious about career, or business it's not a bad move. If you moved there for clout, then it's the worst place for that useless goal.

If you moved to Atlanta for anything but the weather you lost. Even that you still kinda lost

Somebody said it in the other thread (crusty ATL dudes) that a lot of people are moving to Houston and Atlanta to "chase a vibe" rather moving there for a concrete reason. So I guess when that vibe or feeling gets stale or played out, or it doesn't match what social media was showing, they leave.

A lot of people got caught up in the hype of easy living and prospects of jobs. If you're not skilled, moving to another state isn't going to fix that problem... prices skyrocketed in most of these places as well, so those who moved for cost of living no longer enjoy that advantage anymore

I wouldn't be surprised. texas has had some of the HIGHEST housing cost increase for renters since the pandemic at around 20% increases per year. anyone who moved down there from the north for a lower cost of living has GOT to be reconsidering it now.

20/30 years ago it was nikkas talking about “ I’m going to head to Cali and NY and get my shyt started, nothing here in blah blah blah”” nikkas went to Cali and NY and seen their pockets still empty and the bytches got turnt out and left with nut on they chin, they went back to their hometown stayed quiet about they time out in Cali and NY and started working regular jobs and having families
