Have you ever known a pathological liar?

It’s the weirdest sh1t ever. They don’t just lie about big things to make them look good or to deny something negative about them they lie about EVERYTHING even meaningless sh1t.

Usually liars cover their tracks to make sure there lies are never found out pathological liars lie recklessly. They’ll lie and then make another lie up to contradict their first lie in the same conversation

They’ll tell two different things to a couple or friends to where it’s obvious the people will find out.

Are pathological liars just sociopaths? Do they not even know there lying?

It’s the oddest thing ever. Because most liars you at least know why their full of sh1t and it’s too make themselves look better or cover something up but most pathological
liars lies don’t even make sense and will tell lies about something they didn’t need to lie about and cause themselves unacessary drama.

I know of a few.

at the end of the day they weren't sociopaths. I think they just wanted to seem like they had more going on than they did so they made up stories about conversation, friends, or who they are.

At one point i just discounted everything that person said from the start. Saved me a lot of stress.

I've known a few and I sort of equate it to them either always doing dirt so they got to pass off different narratives according to who they meet to cover themselves, but these folks steal and are just dishonest to a fault for personal gain, so that sort of comes with the territory.

The few true pathological liars that I've encountered do just that, lie constantly for no reason and it's mainly to garner favour or make themselves look a certain way by fabricating stories and altering events. It's like they are constantly writing themselves into a story and altering it like a movie script and what's even worse is when they can't keep a proper corroborated story together and end up contradicting themselves in the moment and well after it.

It's sad, really, but hey, once you can spot 'em, it's actually easier to deal with 'em rather than believe the lies/hype/promises.
