no i dont even bother. my friends simply wouldnt understand the whole forum thing. between the inside jokes and overall way to discuss things they wouldnt have a clue and wouldnt last more than 5 minutes even though they have no idea what their missing

i truly think posting and reading on a forum gives you an upper hand and edge in the real world when it comes to conversations and information. i relay alot of stuff i hear from people on forums whether its sports or just general ideas. posting on forums makes you smarter and more well rounded imo

Nope. I always try to make sure when I'm using it, no one's in direct view. And when someone is about to get in a position to peer over whenever, I change the tabs as if I was viewing porn. :ninja2:

:ohhh:

I never thought of it like that, but when I give some inside information about a rapper or I talk about how so-and-so's album sucks when it hasn't even been released yet, people look at me like :dwillhuh: :wow:

yeah, i rarely try to put people on to the message board game.
not everyone is ready for it.

and i agree with you about being more informed than the average person.
i tried to explain it to a dude i work with.

i told him it's like thousands of people who run around the internet and live their lives as well...then they all come to this one place and share what they know, think, experienced with everyone else who chooses to to visit the home base we all have chosen.

he looked at me like :lupe:

I agree to an extent....it can also be a big waste of time.....like most things moderation is usually best...

I wonder if there is an actual study on done on knowledge of current events or even IQ on forum users versus non ... or even between different forums....obviously people on one forum are going to know more about a particular subject than other subjects...
