Dont know if this qualifies as c00nin or just perpetuating the stereotype, but once we had a huge work lunch and someone brought a fruit platter...

My favourite fruit just happens to be watermelon so I went ham on that

I also dont eat red meat, but they offered chicken burgers as an alternative, so I got me a chicken burger, someone else brough wings, and i went ham on that as well.

CACs around were lookin, but I didnt think anything of it..until one of them was like "hungry are we?"

then it hit me

Hmmm, a couple of months ago, something a little similar happened. I went to the local gas station to buy a pop. I was looking at the different flavors, but decided to go with sprite. When I got to the cash register, I got a sudden urge to buy a cigar...so I told her to give me a single black and mild wino, which tends to have "thug" connotations around these parts....

When I got back to my apartment, I looked inside the bag and....it was a fukking orange pop. I swear I had meant to by sprite....but it's like my black instincts took over and my hand gravitated towards the orange without me even being conscious of it....

So I ended up by a Black & Mild Wine with a plastic mouth piece, and a 2 Liter of orange pop, stereotypical as hell.....

It's not c00nin', just perpetuating a stereotype as you said.

I feel you...

I guess it was the way it looked...you know them platters that have little sections for each fruit...I cleaned out that watermelon section

everything else was there except that watermelon. and I ate them wings pretty viciously

When I was in middle school my dad had a luncheon where you could bring your kids at his job and they had a basketball goal up. And1 was really popular at that time and I was into it heavy. I was out there with those white kids putting on my best Hotsauce impersonation. One dude fouled me and I started losing my temper, getting loud, and shoulder bumped the white kid. Luckily many people weren't paying attention and my pops was close by so he called me over and quietly told me to sit my ass down. On the way home he gave me some real talk about how people viewed a young black physically aggressive male.
