Have you had more success in your career being in a black city?

I know it depends on your skillset. But sometimes I feel that being black in Minnesota jobs aren't hiring me cause of my race. I can't prove this at all. But I'm just wondering if anyone had more success being in Atlanta, or Houston or DC, etc.

yezzir, even though the internet is GOAT for networking, more proximity to black folks = more face-to-face networking opportunities imo

I do feel that living in Atlanta helped me in my corp journey.

No college degree, no certs, but I was able to navigate threw the tech world off relationship building and other black people giving me chances.

Raleigh ain't a "black city" but it's black enough culturally, blacker than Sacramento, Virginia Beach, and most of my pervious homes; and I've seen my most career success here...
