I wouldn't say I've lost interest, but football as we know it will be gone completely in probably 20-30 years.
You'll start to notice it in the colleges in about 10 years, when the eight year olds who are being held out from playing today aren't showing up on the college teams, and the ones who DO come out all want to play quarterback. Once the college feeding factory starts to dry up, the pros will find themselves having to pay to train people to play in their league.
Thank goodness it's starting to happen sooner than later.
