Been dealing with that all week and dont feel like going to the doctor. :snoop: between the mucus draining and the smell, its been making me feel very nauseous especially yesterday. For those that can relate, how do yall deal with it? Hate how this happens every 3 to 6 months..

Warm water sinus rinses will work wonders for sinusitis, which sounds like what you may have.

Purchase a sinus plus machine. Get a little bottle of grapefruit seed extract, salt and bottled water,

Pour a bottle of water in the coffee cup. Warm it for 1 minute in the microwave. Mix a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of grapefruit seed extract into the sinuses machine. Give yourself a sinus rinse. Tilt your head back a little bit and let the rinse go through your sinus passage and enter the back of the throat (pause :dame:).

The grapefruit seed extract will kill the infection that is causing the issue. The warm water and salt should help with the sinus pressure and pain. When you are done brush your teeth and your tongue as far back in the throat as possible (pause again :dame:). That should kill the smell.

If you can't afford a sinuplus machine you can use a neti pot, but in my opinion it won't be as effective as the sinuplus machine.

Just recovered from mine a couple days ago. I had it for almost 10 days. Last time I got antibiotics but that shyt knocked me out for 3 days.

This time i used a mix of affrin and over the country cold & flu medicine; something that contaons acetaminophen, a nasal decongestant and a expectorant. But don't OD on this shyt.....you're only supposed to use thsi stuff for 3- 5 days in a row. I thugged it out on saline sprays when I didn't take the medicine.

Folded up hot towels also helped. Light workouts helped, when I could breathe....like walking up hills.

I was constantly blowing my nose. To relieve pressure. After 4 days I was blowing out smelly, dark brown snot and didn't clear up until day 8.

if youre gonna use a neti pot make sure that water is sterile

better yet just dont use that hokey shyt at all. might as well stick an ear candle in there too lol

anyways neti pots seem to kill a few crazy white women every year from brain amoebas

that typo in the headline IS a bad look but that is actually from the university of minnesota. heres the same story from CBS. this seems to happen to a handful of people every year who dont use sterile water in these things (or dont clean them properly)

be careful with those things

Exactly. That is why i advised him to use bottled water or he can boil his own water in a kettle and us that after it cools down. Tap water and well water should not be used for nasal irrigation, because those sources have untreated germs living in the water that could make the sinus infection even worse if a filtration system is not used.

I am not a doctor so take these observations for what it is worth. I think that mucus is supposed to be clear or white. If your boogers/snot is yellow or green then you probably have a sinus infection. If boogers/snot is red or black then go see a sinus doctor because that could be way more serious than a basic infection. In any event a basic infection is pretty easy to clear up, but most people don't know that they have a problem. But symptoms are migraine headaches, sinus pressure, tooth pain, ear pain, sore throat, bad breath (post nasal drip), bitter taste in your mouth, etc. If your nose is runny or you sneeze once in a while then that might be a good sign for your sinuses. I think that an occasional grapefruit or a hot pepper could help with sinus issues. Grapefruits and grapefruit seed extract are great for sinusitis, it seems to head right for the infection. Hot peppers on the other hand seems to just open up the sinuses When people get pepper sprayed their nose run and they get tears which seems like a way to flush the whole sinus system and that is what hot peppers do.

Untreated sinus infections can land you in the hospital. For real it can get bad, because it is an infection and infections can break down your immune system or cause it to overreact. So to avoid them keep your environment as free of dust as possible and have a little humidity, which is good for the sinuses. I would also get tested for allergies, because animals, dust or pollen can trigger that shyt. I am not a doctor, but those are some cheap fixes that I learned decades ago as a medic in the Navy.
