sorry for the double post but i forgot to mention i read this study in a medical journal a few years ago about this guy who destroyed his nasal lining due to a combination of toxic chemicals and drugs. this older guy was doing cocaine at work, but he was doing it in the bathroom. off the back off the toilet.
ended up rotting out his nasal lining and giving him some kind of infection that traveled all around his skull. it was nasty. apparently most of the damage wasnt from the cocaine, or the cut in it. it wasnt germs on the toilet, either. the doctors came to the conclusion that it was the chemicals in the cleaner that the janitor was using on the toilets themselves. somehow that mixed in his cocaine. i guess dude was actually chopping lines on the back of the toilet.
i bring this up in regards to the neti pot because its introducing foreign stuff into your sinuses. putting shyt in your nose is really bad for you, who woulda thought? you're supposed to let your mucus deal with that naturally. thats why you have so many boogers when you're sick.
just saying make sure you use good clean sterile water OP. shyt is not a game
