I'm doin an intel build 'round 700, but I ain't here fer all dat. I need some keyboard/mouse advice...I'm fukkin lost brehs at mechanical keyboards n shyt...tryna keep this combo under 100, but then I forget the OS which I MUST buy 'cuz I ain't even got a pc now, and I gotta get a fukkin optical drive to install that shyt and its RUNNIN UP THE CHECK

WHY CAN'T I INSTALL WINDOWS OFF A FLASH DRIVE

shyt got me eying linux n im furious

  2. Restart your PC, and then press any key to boot from the USB flash drive or the DVD. ...
  3. On the Install Windows page, select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, and then select Next.
  4. Select Install Windows.



You gotta select boot device to USB from bios pretty much.


And no offense, if you dont know how to install windows from usb/flash drive - you not ready for linux :heh:

That's what I was thinking... lol You have no one you can run over to and use their computer? If they have decent internet, you can have Windows downloaded and installed on a drive in under 30-60mins.

edit: You can also download the files on your phone. You can then transfer the files and make the boot drive on another computer. So no one will complain about you downloading shyt on their PC.

I got an old hard drive from my brokeass laptop, if the shyt was somehow compatible I could just boot it up like that, correct?
