People here in Hawaii have been monitoring this the last 48 hours.
June Jones turned it down because he didn't like the terms of the contract offer, claiming it was only for two years and UH wouldn't let him choose his staff. UH was upset that he went public just before hiring Chang.
Jones has had character issues when he coached here, including rumors of impregnating an All-America volleyball player and then his notorious removal of "Rainbows" from the Rainbow Warrior name of the athletic teams, because he didn't want his players to sound homosexual.
