Smoove is straight.

It's not about the ppg it's about how he does it. It looks Blake Griffin and VC like. You know, the non impactful scoring. He doesn't make others better in the process and it's not like he's a finisher either.
My point being said that he isn't really a #1 option on offense type. I don't think any team can win with Love being that. Love is very good player, I love watching him play but I don't like him as a #1 . For someone with his passing skills, he sure can be a blackhole at times. He is just more of a role player to me than a superstar. Stat wise, he is a top 5 NBA player. But when I watch, I rather Bosh, Horford, Z-Bo, and LMA. Him and Griffin the same to me. Just different skill-sets and mentality.
SLAM ONLINE | » Al Horford: Elite Big
His jumpers rate dropped the min Bibby was traded. Even though Bibby wasn't effective anymore, he could still run an offense. Teague and Hinrich can't. So Horford #'s dropped.
Going into ASB, Horford had the best jump-shooting numbers in the NBA. He still had the best 16-23 feet numbers in 82 games.
Al's 16-23 feet
Dirk's 16-23 feet
Horford is a beast and highly slept on by many fans. But to say he is the best or even top five power forwards is blasphemous. I think he can be a legit 20 and 10 type player if the offense was based around him but u can say that about a lot of other power forwards too.
Nah. Not until he develops a low post game & even then I would hesitate to say he's elite. There's probably only 5 or 6 truly elite players in the game right now & I don't see Horford having that type of ceiling. Smoove COULD, but he's a headcase half the time so he'll never truly make that next step, he'll just give glimpses
I love Turner's game. I still cant put my finger on why it couldnt workout with Iguodala tho but oh well.
I think Turner can run the show and Bynum can anchor their half court offense. He will be better than Brand (on offense) no doubt. But im not sure what else they have on that roster around Bynum, Holiday and Turner. We'll see. Hope it works out for them
Agreed, and I can tell you from watching him closely over the last 5 years that Lou Williams is far too inconsistent to be depended on for offense.
The Hawks did the right thing by starting over. They'll miss the playoffs this year, but they got the cap space to make moves next summer.
Because like I said, both need the ball in their hands to be effective. Same as Jrue and and Lou Will......too many players on Philly did the same thing. Jrue gotta learn to be effective without the ball because it's the Evan Turner show.
Hmm I dont know. The few times I've seen Iggy play he looked like he was good without the ball in a slasher role kinda like Eddie Jones with the Heat but with more power to his game. Guess those were isolated cases.
Turner can run the show but Jru is the PG so naturally you want the ball in his hands a good portion of the time. Unless they are ready to go into a BjArmstrong/ScottiePippen or MarioChalmers/Lebron type of setup with the two
Horford is too slow and mechanical in his moves. His low post game consists of bullying. That ain't gonna work. I had hopes for him , but not anymore. He does need to be at PF tho

Even though you are the PG you should still be effective when you get rid of the ball and get it back without ball dominating. Derrick Rose stepped that part of his game up big time tho the haters might not realize it by box score whoring. Evan ain't a scraps type dude. He isn't gonna be parked at the 3 point line or anywhere waiting on the catch and shoot. Iggy can play multiple roles, but with that contract they wasn't gonna make him a role player over Evan. Look at how Evan's production turned up once he got in the starting lineup and got the ball. And yeah with the skills of Evan and even the pickup of Dorell Wright a BJ Armstrong type PG might be the look for them. It will be interesting to see how Philly gels this year.
