This is why we can't let the doors close on ANY of them. Is it just me or have HBCUs been struggling a lot more under the current administration :francis:
We have struggled, which is why I don’t necessarily agree with you on not closing any of them down.

I believe consolidation is a legitimate option.

The fact that all black people don’t know this goes to show you how programmed we really are... This was understood when I was growing up... Every black doctor, lawyer, engineer, businessman I knew as a kid had went to an HBCU at some point during their secondary education..... all successful and highly skilled at their respective professions

HBCU's have provided opportunities for a lot of Black men and women that would have not been there for them at White Institutions.

Most of those Black professors will take students under their wing from my experience, because they want to see them succeed.

You have a lot of students at HBCUs that are the first from their family to even attend college.

Integration kinda hurt HBCUs, White folks started getting the elite athletes that are generally almost always Black. That takes revenue away from Black schools and it brings millions into those White schools.

A good portion of those men and women end up not even getting degrees from those White schools.

My decision to go to Grambling State is probably one of the single best decisions I've ever made along with marrying my wife.
