I just had a long talk to my old professor back at Morgan State University. He had a stroke not too long ago. I'm glad I was able to catch up with him and tell him my accomplishments and to let him know he has a student that is in a museum's permanent art collection.

I told him on the same floor as Warhol, Miro, Picasso, Degas, and others he taught me.

Then the old man said something I started shedding tears at...

Said he was proud of me.

He posed to be coming by my studio and seeing my current works. I cannot wait.

Brehs, if you had a favorite Professor you was close to, call them and check on them, let them know how their teachings still stuck with you after all this time.

He told me to conquer the Art World and let them b*stards know who YOU ARE

He still as fiery as ever.

I went to see my old CAU professor, this was probably 6 years after I graduated. He was obese when I was there but was snatched at our reunion. I saw him and was like "OMG! YOU LOOK GREAT"...was so proud of him, gave him a hug.
We talked about how the kids weren't getting any smarter

What was ya Major at CAU?

I legitimately used to skip classes to sit and watch him paint. He was the 1st black student to graduate at his art school for college. Super fukking humble and his stories about Vietnam used to have me hyped.

Yea I had three of my professors pass away at Bowie State University. One of them was at my Solo Senior Exhibition and said that I was greatest student he has ever had the joy of teaching. The professors was beyond impressed at my show. Cost me $3,000 to get all 30 pieces framed tho..

i was bytching and Professor Lewis humbled me on some real art world shyt. She told at me and said, "every show you do until you get a breakthrough you gon be paying money"

Had my jaw in hell the way it dropped.
