Just in case y'all didn't know he Directed & co-wrote "Friday Night Lights" the movie. And he was the Developer/Creator, an Executive Producer, a Director & Writer for "Friday Night Lights" the TV show.



HBO really going all out on this.

I didn't even bother watching a trailer for that, let alone a episode. I wouldn't even know what that show was, if it wasn't for a pinned thread on The Coli.

I watched the trailer. It's one of those shows that all you need to do is read the logline, and you can pretty much predict what it'll look/feel/sound like.

The trailer was enough for me to pass on it.

It'll probably get cancelled after it's 2nd season.

The pickup was a coup for Starz to say they're working with LeBron, so I knew it'd absolutely get 2 seasons, but I read an article last year and it looses half the viewers the show before it gets.

Season 2 was a courtesy, now with Ballers coming (2 different shows, but too similar in theme), it's dead after it's 2nd.

The trailer for this probably got viewed more than any episode of that show.

HBO is significantly more popular than Starz, yes, but they are trying to build themselves up and that was a good show to round out their offering. Too bad they half-stepped, as usual, and let HBO swoop in and steal that market.

Turns out its a track that's been out. Though they edited and mixed it in the trailer is way doper imo. Still, big tune.
