I don't think the show was pointless at all. It shows how fukked up the system is. He might as well be guilty with ways things are now in his home and his community.
I thought the show was fantastic for just 8 episodes.

Should have called that it was Evan, as he is easily the most high profile supporting actor on the show....good role for him too. Loved that he kept the cat, small victories and losses, and it all goes on.
*The Chandra romance/subplot was sloppy and not needed, worst storyline of the show.

Stone is back to repping hookers and small time crooks.
Chandra's gonna get disbarred.

Me and my wife still loved it tho, and we never gave up on naz, unlike his momma.

What I still don't get is how they never question why naz wasn't covered in blood that night. Neither was his inhaler in the photo....and from the time he left till the time he got picked up, he didn't have enough time to clean off that much blood. There would have been blood all over him and his clothes when they collected his shyt for evidence
No one gave a fukk. A chick was found dead of a stabbing and they found the guy that was in her house with a bloody knife in his coat
That isn't how investigations work. Plus it was such an obvious thing to look into, especially when u take his clothes for evidence. That shyt isn't that cut and dry, even the good detective in all the shyt he question never asked the question "why wasn't he covered in blood after savagely stabbing someone to death"
From the moment he was packing his bags right until the point he was about to see his dad, I thought he was either gonna get rushed or rearrested for something else.
The tension was real.
The cd Freddy got from the CO can be only be surveillance from Rikers, cause when Nas and the lawyer kissed, that was surveillance from the courthouse cells. Two different facilities.

fukk this show. Seriously.
I don't think I've ever seen a show start as amazing as this and finish as garbage as this.
Seriously. The first 4 episodes were 10/10.The last 4 were 5/10. At best.
It was like the show had HBO writers for 4 episodes then they ran out of budget and hired some soap opera writers.
That episode was an hour and forty five minutes for no reason.
Everything was so forced,and so contrived. This show went from subtle to just obnoxiously smashing you over the head trying to ram metaphors and faux deep themes down your throat.
I bust out laughing at the deadlocked jury. It was so ham fisted and corny. It even had stone deliver some cheesey heart felt emotional closing argument.
I'm legit heated at how badly this show fell off mid season.
All the tension was gone. I just wanted the thing to be over. The ending was written like an angst filled teenager over dosing in nihilism.
I whole heartedly wanted naz to get his throat slit on the way leaving prison because the show made me hate his character that much because of the cw level writing it devolved into.
