I actually heard that exact sentiment from a damn good nurse…she said AA babies have a higher pain threshold and fight for their lives more than other races.

Including Black people. I've dealt with Black doctors just trying to get me out quickly and not really solve whatever health issue/pain I was dealing with. We really gotta advocate for our own selves because the world thinks Black people can survive anything despite statistics showing otherwise.

After my second child was born and our experience with that…it was a real deterrent from having more kids. The experience was terrible, I had a strong fear her and my baby wouldn’t make it.
fukking terrible and later I learned that most of it was entirely avoidable.
