The problem is that Japanese society has become so conservative that the men have lost any real way of learning how to interact with women. I mean it's getting to the point where the women have to take charge or they end up doing the proposal. Having been to Japan multiple times, I have never seen 40 year olds so afraid to approach women seriously.

They don't want the trappings of being a traditional housewife.

Many have expressed that watching their mothers play that role had a huge impact, so they want more financial and social autonomy to avoid being at the mercy of the stereotypical Japanese husband. Or so the story goes...

It is. Men have convinced themselves that women should be "selfless" and only live to make other people happy, even at the expense of her own happiness. They get angry when you want to do something that will make you happy.

I really dont understand how you can be a virgin in Japan. If they cant find a relationship or "love" that's one thing. But they have prostitutes from all over the world there and world famous red light districts.

The irony of it is that these women only want them b/c they think American men won't act like their husbands. Lmao!

They want Western men b/c they think Western men are enlightened in comparison to their own men due to the feminist movement in our countries.

I know of just as many divorces between people married to foreigners as regular marriages. If you don't know and understand the opposite sex, an airplane ticket isn't going to change that.

I just have to wonder why it's so difficult to compromise for the good of both parties involved. I like the idea of being a housewife, but I don't demonize women who are different from me. People are different and being a housewife has a lot of risks...always has for the woman.
