Stephen Merchant is hilarious and an excellent writer. He had me dying in Extras, and so far this show Hello Ladies is funny as hell too. I think he's also one of the tallest people in acting/writing. Dude is 6'7.

Its funny but Merchant's character is kind of annoying and hard to root for. Plus the supporting characters need some work. Other than his chubby friend i dont really care for them at all.

The 4th episode is what is making me stick with this show, the best episode in the series. I think Stephen Merchant is finding that balance between lovable loser and insufferable dikk. Like that was the episode where I started to feel bad for the guy because he just says one thing to fukk himself up.

That guy has had some insanely hilarious moments
