Diet is about the quickest way to do this, but you'd be hard pressed to lose 10 by that time in a healthy manner.

What do you eat on a weekly basis?

Don't complicate CICO. I would recommend fasting, but the only way you could do extending fasting to that extreme extent would leave you living like a zombie without energy until Christmas or put you at an increased risk of kidney stones.

Though personally, I can only lose weight with fasting or going to sleep at like 9PM.

Only way you’re losing 20lbs by Christmas is if you do like Naked And Afraid where they’re barely eating from day to day. Like you’ll have to drink nothing but water and a few crackers a day :russ:

Get your diet in check first and foremost before anything. You know what junk you need to cut out. Hit the gym at least 3 times a week.

20 by Xmas isn’t impossible but you’re going to have to stop drinking, smoking, junk food first out the gate if you do any of that.

Calorie deficit and actually exercise 6 days a week religiously if the way to go if you want to see anything that resembles any improvement.

Literally stop eating 5x a damn day. 2 basic meals is fine. You won’t die.

Go buy a pair of New Balance 1080 shoes or Hoka Clifton and do 12-15 laps of a slooooow jog EVERY DAY just to work up a sweat and get accustomed to moving. And don’t say you hate running because that’s why fags say.

Skip the gym and trying to pick up weights because you’re going to look puffy as hell and get heavier. You need to legit lean out first.

Keep the diet basic and eat the same shīt all the time: rotisserie chicken, oatmeal, PB&J — basic shīt that won’t mess up your stomach so you have no excuse to not hit the track.

This is best advice! To reiterate, stick to the following:

1. Calorie deficit- which means you have to start tracking your calories (a great way to do this is fasting and doing #3 on this list)
2. You need to understand your TDEE in order to identify the proper deficit for your height and weight. I would go to a good gym that has one of those specialized weight measuring machine because it also figures in your muscle mass and water intake, which can really impact your caloric goals.
3. Cut back on processed foods and increase your protein and whole foods intake while staying WITHIN YOUR CALORIC DEFICIT GOAL.
4. LIFT weights, using a progressive weight load
5. WALK 8-10K steps a day (this is a cheat code to weight loss TBH, you can just do this and eat at a deficit, and you will drop pounds quickly). You don't need to do heavy cardio. Sometimes, that can actually backfire because it creates a stress response, which may cause your body to hold onto fat, as it thinks something is wrong.

we've been conditioned to eat too much food and junk. plus we're drinking too much bs.

cut full meals to twice a day and back away from fried foods in those meals. snack on an apples or grapes or even honey almonds for in between snacks. only drink water, stop all that high fructose liquid consumption. cut way back on liquor or cut it out.

you don't have to go crazy on exercise, but walking at least 4 miles a week with some calisthenics at least 4 times a week is sustainable. do not include your normal steps throughout the day.

be real with yourself. you ain't losing 20 lbs by christmas and keeping it off, but you can establish a healthy routine. stick with it. this is your new life routine now breh.

also get your yearly or bi-yearly physical. your cholesterol, blood pressure, sugar levels, lipid panel all kind of shyt might need urgent attention. sometimes that can be the kick in the azz you need.

i was like you after covid, but did the above. after a few years i'm at a great weight and body fat hovers between 19-21%.

Good advice given already, but I lost 30 pounds in a month, 50 pounds in 2 months on a fruit/veg juice and protein/fruit smoothie diet.

  • 3 homemade juices per day with Ginger, Lemon, Red Seeded Grapes, Beetroot and Cucumber. Sometimes I would add extra herbs and fruits.
  • 1 Smoothie a day with 1 scoop of protein powder, Psyllium Husk, Frozen Banana and another 1 or 2 random frozen fruits like Mango, Pineapple, Cherries, Kiwi ect
  • If I was hungry or thirsty outside of that, herbal tea or water.
  • Cycled to the supermarket every 2 days to buy fresh fruits and Veg.
  • 2 workouts a day 4 to 5 days a week . Treadmill or stationary bike for 30 mins in the morning at home. Walk or cycle to the gym and weight train in the evenings.
Extreme and not for the faint of heart, but it's possible. If you can get through the first week it's not bad from there

Currently, I'm 6'2 255lb, floated around 215- 225lb most of my 30s. COVID hit, that's when I stop playing basketball. Never been into the gym, I just jogged and played a lot of basketball. My good ex D1 baller friend ruptures his Achilles a few years and that scared me into retirement. I still shoot around sometimes, but I don't think I'll ever go full throttle again.

I went to an event this pass weekend and the Krewe club posted a lot of pics on Social Media, I was looking :flabbynsick: Not totally, but I'm on the cusp. The cusp of getting to where it'll be hell to get back down to a proper weight. Right now, my clothes aren't fitting me well. Looking like Master P at that NBA All Star game a few years back.

I'm still able to pull a few chicks, but not the level or ease I'm accustom to. And I know life is just better when you're in shape and look good. You're personality shine more.
I want to be a specimen again.

So much good food down here in Louisiana. :noah:So much gambling (sitting around for hours, snacking and drinking) everyday. Daiquiris shops!! Seems almost unavoidable. These night cravings be killing me. Feel like I can sleep with out something to snack on first.

And I've cheated my legs all my life.:mjcry:

I just need a kick in the azz to get me going fam. I'm going to the gym today, trying to down a gallon of water down too.

Any and all advice will be appreciated.
