Only way you’re losing 20lbs by Christmas is if you do like Naked And Afraid where they’re barely eating from day to day. Like you’ll have to drink nothing but water and a few crackers a day :russ:

Get your diet in check first and foremost before anything. You know what junk you need to cut out. Hit the gym at least 3 times a week.
Yah thats a crazy goal. A calorie defecit of 500 lb per day only gets gets you 1lb lost per week. Any more than that and he risks his metabolism slowing down which is counterintuitive.

But breh only has 5 weeks. So @Stuntone would have to miraculously have a 2000 calorie defecit through diet and exercise per day in order to hit his goal. That might legit be a pbj and milk as his only meal each day, while simultaneously hitting the gym 5 days per week , religiously. :picard:

Since this 2000 is far higher than a 500 calorie deficit, his metabolism would slow down. Meaning he may need closer to 2300 calorie defecit to stop his body from compensating for starving. :francis:

For comparison's sake I recently lost 20 lbs but it took me 3 months. And i held a 2000 calorie limit per day , while simultaneously hitting the gym 4 days a week. So @Stuntone , the weight loss you are describing sounds like hell.

if you are really fat
fat will drop off quickly in the beginning
so 20lbs is doable was a strict diet and exercise
By the numbers sure but let’s be reality. 20 lbs is a random number. There isn’t enough time to lose enough weight to really impact clothes or how you look in the mirror or to others (real or perceived) which is what this is really about.

So in reality, you’re closer to 6’, 275lbs :jbhmm:

But no worries breh, just hit a quick I.F./Keto, jump rope, a shyt load of water and maybe something to clean out your guts/debloat and should be good to go

Edit:
And of course, stop drinking for a long period of time
Jump rope may be hard on his knees at that weight

Thanks Fellas, i really appreciate the advice and motivation. So far so good. I've drank around 100oz today so far. Been hitting push ups and body squat in the office. About to go home and hit the punch bag a while and do boxing drills.

After many of your statements, losing 20lbs by Xmas isn't my goal now, just being on the right track is whether it's 10lb or 15lb. I want to build a healthier lifestyle. Being overweight has really hindered my lifestyle. I'm shy now. I'm not as outgoing and funny as my friends and family are use to. Time for the old me to return.

Off to get some healthy stuff:

Almonds
Tuna Steaks and other fish
Chicken breast
Saltless Seasonings
cucumbers
kales
veggies

What else I should I get?

Do you know how to cook veggies? And do you know what healthy food is? Honest question, I've known people who think a soda is healthy if it's fruit flavored.

If I had to lose weight I would go strictly fruits and veggies. Anything else I would be selective about when it comes to the calories.

1.) Start lifting, this will help preserve muscle so you lose more fat instead of lean body mass

2.) Find out your caloric maintenance and eat at a deficit below. It’s unhealthy and unrealistic to lose more than 2 pounds a week, likely you’ll be losing less than that. Even just 10 pounds of fat loss is massive though so keep that in mind.

3.) If you drink a lot of alcohol and have a bad diet (excessive sodium, fried foods). You are likely a little smaller than the scale suggests. Making simple changes to your diet will drop a lot of water weight over a few weeks.
