Nothing tops the Quest 2 right now, unless you have a top end computer.
edit: Also, watch the sale dates for places like Amazon, the Quest 2 goes on crazy sales for what you are getting out of that. For reference, I have had the Reverb G2, Quest 2, Rift S, and some trash WMR Acer.

If you got money like that.For standalone, you are hard pressed beating the Quest 2 at its current price. If you are super serious about VR you drop a lot on a good computer and then go for the highend sets, those sets in fidelity, performance, and tracking, shred something like the Quest 2 and w/e that Quest Pro is. I'm just waiting for the tech to advance a bit before I pick up an actual set, right now, the Quest 2 is king at that price point, especially when it goes on sale.
Oh hell nah, I just googled it. I didn't know that it was $1400. I'll stick with the Quest 2.

But im getting this purely for research reasons. Still figuring out where I long term wanna end up in the tech industry and VR is here with all this metaverse foolery so maybe it's time I see what it's all about. Might be an opportunity for me to make some money.
